Experience Ubud And Beyond

Ubud is often called the heart of Bali, and for good reason. Unlike the island’s bustling coastlines, Ubud invites you into a slower rhythm, one of lush jungles, terraced rice fields, ancient temples, and deep-rooted traditions. This is where art, spirituality, and nature meet in harmony.

From the graceful movement of traditional dance to the meditative stillness of sacred spaces, Ubud offers a rich cultural experience at every turn. Walk through vibrant artisan markets, witness intricate wood carving, batik and paintings in progress, or explore the mystical Sacred Monkey Forest where centuries-old temples are guarded by playful macaques beneath a jungle canopy.

But Ubud is more than what you see, it’s what you feel. A sense of peace. Of space. Of something older and quieter than the modern world. Here, wellness isn’t a trend, it’s a way of life. You’ll find everything from Balinese healing therapies and sound baths to sunrise treks and ceremonial blessings, all intended to restore balance and inspire reflection.

Bali’s beauty is deeply spiritual. You’ll notice daily offerings called Canang Sari being placed outside homes and temples as acts of gratitude.

A simple gesture, like saying “Om Swastiastu” (peace be upon you), or wearing a sarong when visiting a temple, is a meaningful way to show respect for the local culture.

The landscapes beyond Ubud offer incredible experiences for those who wish to explore. You might catch a golden sunrise from the top of Mount Batur, wander through the iconic green steps of the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, or glide through jungle canyons on a white-water rafting adventure along the Ayung River. Each offers a different way to connect with the island’s natural beauty.

How To Get There

Ubud is located approximately 40 kilometers or 25 miles from Ngurah Rai International Airport, with a travel time of around 1.5 hours by car depending on traffic. Since there are no direct public transport options from the airport, the most convenient ways to reach us are as follows:

Private Airport Transfer

Casa Pohon offers a seamless private transfer service directly to our villas. This is the most comfortable and stress-free option, especially after a long flight.

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Apps

You can also book a taxi from the airport or use ride-hailing apps such as Grab or Gojek. Please note that access for app-based drivers may be limited in certain areas of Ubud.
